What are you most excited about? The Belle sounds really cool - water tours are universally fun.
Average temperature in Louisville during June, for those who were wondering: high of 83, low of 65. Awww yeah.

I wish everyone could come!
I just finished the music. 10 hours of music videos. Over 3000 pictures and a couple of hundred songs. I've been working on this since January!!! Yeeeeehaaaaa!
Now, y'all just help me hope that they will play as a playlist on my husband's computer! and that the sound will work. And that nothing got lost in translation. and that the earth takes a spin off its axis and all this high-tech stuff with actually "do"...

Thank heavens! I bought a flash drive to transfer files with, 4 gig, and it took 3 trips to get them all on my husband's computer!

The Frazier Museum. A must see for me!
But just getting the opportunity to sit down and gab and grub with everyone, is going to be the real highlight of the 'meet for me! The best times always seem to happen around a plate and a mug!

I was sitting there looking at the site, thinking, where on earth is Emerald Downs? It looks like a LOT of fun! I don't know that it is such a big upgrade, but we're going to have a lovely time! :-)

We are using our vacation to go to Rochester, NY to see my parents the first week of May. They are up there and I haven't seen them in 7 years...

Wow. Very organized. I said this before but, great job, Dowser.
I'd love to go - love the area - but unfortunately my pennies are being saved for a month-long-plus (the plus is hopefulness) stay in Hawaii. I'm going to meet some of the local 'viners while there. If there's any interest, we could organize a larger Hawaiian-Luau Vinemeet 2012.

Yep, you've certainly been doing a yeoman's effort on this - very impressive!
I've made hotel reservations and I'll sign up for activities soon. I'll do the dinner, the walking tours, the races, the golf and the Belle cruise (with food). I don't know right now whether they'll be one of me or two of us - much hemming and hawing is involved. Hopefully, that will stop soon.

I'll probably have to drive the pickup - unless I can figure a way to remove one of the saddlebags and put the clubs there. I have my doubts.

If you have rear footpegs, just u-bolt or square bolt on a small plate, I found an "L" shaped plate, so the bag rests against the "L" or vertical part helps it from slipping, have it towards the back of the bike, and strap it down. Been to many an outing on the bike!

Sounds like an idea! I'll try it out around here first, of course. If memory serves, the rear footpegs are in front of the saddlebags - so I may get away with having both. I'll have to check it out when I go out later this morning. Thanks.

Oh! I didn't use all bungies either! Went to a golf shop and picked up some "replacement" bag straps, with the buckles. A bungie here and a buckle strap there works nicely!

Sorry Dowser, but I will not be able to attend. No matter how much the want is there, life's needs simply out weigh that. I feel bad, but I will still attempt to do a vinemeet at my house one day, God willing, if not just for a few. I think that you'll be able to get tickets for almost everything once you get here. You may have some problems with the Millionaire's Row at Churchill Downs and the tour at the Kentucky Derby Museum. But, you may not want to do those things anyway.
I'm sorry that we don't have enough gift bags, but they are all promised out and paid for...
I had to take the Web site down, as I was getting a bunch of strange inquiries and things. An article will be forthcoming as to what is happening...

And like Dowser says, getting tickets to almost anything shouldn't be a problem, exceptin' the Row and the Derby Museum, they could be tricky, I'm not sure, but just about anything else should be easy! I don't have the full list of who's coming, registered, anyway, but it's out there somewhere! *grin*! There's been a few recently registered under the deadline I don't know who of, specifically, but I'm sure the info can be gotten! Dowser, of course! *grin*!

We have 14 for Friday night, two leave, and then we have two more coming in on Saturday, so the total count is 16. BUT, with network gal, tyler, and Sally, we still have a very manageable group-- and there is lots of room.
I'll put up another article about the schedule of events. tyler and sally-- do you need someone to pick you up at the airport?
